Shoppers won’t hesitate to ditch an item before checkout if they go over budget. We think that’s messed up.
That’s why at ALDI no food is left behind.
Found Food
Finding groceries in the wrong section is the sad result of shopping list going over budget. We’ll plaster cities with posters depicting these abandoned food items. The posters can be scanned to virtually return the food back to their rightful homes.
Venmo
When scanned, people will be taken to a microsite to enter their Venmo name. ALDI will then reward them with snack money, but only enough to get it at ALDI.
Social
“A decision was made” is a common caption when food is found out of place at the grocery store. We’ll scour Twitter for these posts and shoot back a response, reminding people that at ALDI they wouldn’t have to choose between cereal and milk.
